Every Ploppy is its own little character. Nine forms, from leaf-eared Sprig and waddling Button to bunny-eared Mallow and daisy-crowned Blossom, combine with nine markings and twelve color palettes for 972 distinct looks.

Snacks train speed, strength and stamina, cuddles build your bond, and each pal matures from Sprout to Bud to Bloom. Scoop them up and carry them around, or give them a playful toss: they go floppy, tumble, bounce and pick themselves up with a very unimpressed look. No harm done, ever.

Personalities

Pals with minds of their own

Each Ploppy has its own mix of curiosity, sociability, playfulness and persistence. They pick up habits, remember their friends, nap when they're tired, and nose the ball around, hop on the bounce mat or splash in the pool.

Explore

Adventure into the wild

Every trip through the trail gate leads to a brand-new 2 km × 2 km wilderness. Visit a Trailstead town, chat with trail walkers, foragers, naturalists and storytellers, and step into cozy homes to meet the people who live there, often along with their pet Ploppies.

Track down food caches and spotted eggs along the way. Weather changes from outing to outing, and day fades into moonlit night.

Each companion has one of three trail knacks. Its knack opens the matching gated enclave on every trip.

Befriend

Make wild friends

Wild Ploppies can be shy, curious, playful or sleepy, so approach gently. Win one over with Dashberries, or beat it at Echo Steps, a little memory game, to invite it home.

Rare looks are out there to discover, and if you're very lucky you might spot a sparkling Super Ploppy.

Families

The next generation

Pair two fully grown Ploppies to welcome a baby. It takes its form from one parent and its markings from the other, inherits one parent's colors and gets a fresh blend of both parents' stats.

The PloppyPedia records every Ploppy you meet and traces parents, grandparents and children.

Compete

Friendly competition

In trail races, time your cheers to the marked stride windows for a bigger boost, and steer around rivals blocking your lane. Cushion spars are first to five soft boops: read your opponent's wind-up, then answer with bounce, feint or guard. Some wind-ups are bluffs, especially in the higher cups.

Win your way up through the Sprout, Bud and Bloom cups and set personal bests on four signature courses, three of which give an easier run to a Ploppy with the matching trail knack.

Build

Grow your home

Earn Ploppy Coins and spend them at Mimi's Ploppy Store on new pals, snacks and toys, plus garden decorations you can move around until everything feels just right.

Upgrade your cottage and build an orchard shed, a produce stand and more. Plant foods you found on adventures and sell your surplus. Keep an eye out for the traveling merchant, who sells foods normally found only on adventures. When the garden gets crowded, the Barn holds up to 384 more Ploppies.
